Mercure Antwerp City Centre is located in the Diamond District opposite the romantic English style city park in the heart of Antwerp city. Starting in 1987, as the hotel opened as Carlton Hotel Antwerp – to 2009 when the hotel renamed and renovated to become Leopold Hotel Antwerp – up to today, 2021, as the hotel is renewed itself as Mercure Antwerp City Centre.
This newly refurbished hotel pays homage to the historic and contemporary creative scene in Antwerp – from the Flemish Masters who studied their craft at The Academy of Fine Art to the talents of fashion designers such as the Antwerp Six and Martin Margiela. BGYID have used a riot of colour, pattern and bespoke art across the public areas and guest rooms to express this celebration of creativity.
