Located at the foot of Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile, on the doorstep of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s official Scottish residence and immediately opposite the Scottish Parliament, Abbey Strand Apartments at Holyrood are right in the heart of Edinburgh’s rich history.

Masterpiece London & TEFAF New York
Agnews recently exhibited at two major art fairs in London and New York: Masterpiece London and TEFAF New York. While designing the stand layout for both locations they consciously chose to steer away from a more traditional stand appearance, instead choosing to make a bold statement to complement the paintings and works of art that were on display during both fairs, which included works of art from the 14th to the 20th Centuries.

The state-of-the-art ‘flagship’ Bank of Scotland branch on Glasgow’s Argyle Street features the product and craftsmanship of many Scottish manufacturers and suppliers, including Bute Fabrics.
Our team were invited to develop a bespoke tartan for the Lloyds Banking Group brand, a design signature features across their flagship branches, complemented by a curated selection of fabrics from our stocked fabric collection.

The Bayes Centre is a pivotal piece of the University of Edinburgh’s estate set to transform Edinburgh city centre into one of UK’s most dynamic places for tech, attracting the highest calibre of international experts in data science and artificial intelligence.
Fairmont Hotel
St Andrews
The highly anticipated refurbishment of the Fairmont St Andrews public areas was completed in September 2015. This included a complete re-design of the hotel's voluminous Atrium space, which overlooks the North Sea that now incorporates a bespoke 60m long ceiling sculpture by award winning artist George Singer. The ethereal, organic sculpture flows through the space, reflecting the movements of the sea.
Friends House
London
Friends House is the home of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain. The Grade II building by Hubert Lidbetter won the RIBA Bronze Medal in 1927. The recent refurbishment by John McAslan + Partners, transforms the Large Meeting House, seating 1,200, into a versatile, accessible and sustainable space, which responds to the growing needs of the outreach and social programmes at Friends House.

Squaredot are a team of creatives working closely with their clients to create unique, innovative workplace design & strategy specific to each project.
KPMG
Glasgow
Michael Laird Architects were commissioned by KPMG to design their new Glasgow office space on the top three floors of St Vincent Plaza. The largely open plan nature of the design responds to KPMG’s brief by creating a memorable client space with an internal connecting stair and as a whole the fit out embraces the breathtaking views the building has over the city, Mackintosh’s Art School and the River Clyde.
Korean Dinner Party
London
Korean dinner party is a new Soho spot bringing a taste of LA‘s buzzing Koreatown to the top floor of Kingly court. At KDP guests will duck under the glowing neon signage and settle in for an evening of family-style hospitality, East-meets-West dishes, kitsch cocktails and craft beers with an eclectic record collection of Korean hip hop playing into the night. Korean dinner party interior design, curated by A-nrd studio pays homage to metropolitan Korean restaurants found in the heart of Seoul and LA‘s Koreatown.
Mercure Hotel

Mercure Antwerp City Centre is located in the Diamond District opposite the romantic English style city park in the heart of Antwerp city. Starting in 1987, as the hotel opened as Carlton Hotel Antwerp – to 2009 when the hotel renamed and renovated to become Leopold Hotel Antwerp – up to today, 2021, as the hotel is renewed itself as Mercure Antwerp City Centre.
Royal Bank of Scotland
London
Established in the 1640’s, Child & Co, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland, is one of the oldest private banks in the UK. Boss Design worked together with RBS to assist with the refurbishment and renovation of the bank, whilst keeping its original heritage in full recognition. The main Banking Hall on the ground floor featured several table and soft seating options from Lyndon Design.

Foster + Partners 70 million performing arts centre, The Sage Gateshead opened officially to the public on 17 December 2004. With its dramatic shell-like form, the glistening stainless steel clad building perches high above the River Tyne enjoying spectacular views towards Newcastle. It fulfils three demanding criteria: to create an international centre for musical performance and education, with acoustically excellent auditoria and unparalleled teaching facilities; a major public building that is fully inclusive and accessible for all; and a centrepiece for the regenerated Gateshead Quays area.

'The Boarding House’ is the new face of the refurbished ‘Howwood Inn’. 'Since opening its doors in 1770, the original Howwood Inn served the people of Howwood and passing trade from afar for generations as a coach house and hotel'. Now a local bar, restaurant and function space specialising in good food & fine wine.
The Edinburgh Grand

Enriched by an illustrious heritage, courtesy of a famous banking landmark, the building’s provenance has been artfully woven to create a luxurious new residence.
Authentic features, including original dark wood panelling, fireplaces, brass door handles and decorative cornicing have been given a serious makeover and seamlessly incorporate with new design, enhancing unbelievably beautiful spaces with unique historical merit.
The International Convention Centre

The International Convention Centre Wales opened in summer 2019, offering a world class conference, event and exhibition venue. It is the largest facility of its type in the South West of the UK and the biggest convention centre to ever be built in Wales.
The Pavilion
Nottingham Trent University
The social heart of the Nottingham Trent Campus, The Pavilion, has been augmented with a new teaching building set at right angles and - along with the existing lecture theatre building - a triangular Plaza has been created. This defines a much-needed centre to the campus, and provides some coherence.
The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice

We were delighted to be involved in this innovative project : Bute Fabrics were specified in many of the communal areas of the Hospice. We worked closely with the teams at Burns Design and Ryder Architecture, who selected Bute as part of their beautiful interior scheme due to our commitment to quality and durability within the versatile Bute range.
The Principal Hotel
York
This magnificent, Grade-II-listed hotel, boasting beautiful gardens and views over York Minster, was originally one of Britain’s greatest Victorian railway hotels, housed in a purpose-built building in yellow Scarborough brick by architect William Peachey and first opening its doors in 1878. After the hotel was acquired by Starwood Capital, Goddard Littlefair was commissioned to redesign its public spaces, as well as all 155 bedrooms and suites.
The Resident
Covent Garden
Housed within a beautifully restored six-story Edwardian building overlooking the Strand in the heart of London’s Covent Garden, The Resident Covent Garden hotel was recently refurbished to create stylish accommodation that delivers on comfort, convenience and aesthetic. The Nadler team have done so with a focus on British design at the core of every element of the interior.
The thoughtfully designed interiors offer an elegant colourway of deep blues, clay greys and accents of cherry red which sit alongside metallic touches of brass and copper.
Theatre Royal

The foyer extension for Scottish Opera at Glasgow’s Theatre Royal was focused on creating a transformational experience for audiences, encouraging wider community engagement and building a sustainable business for the future. The project focused on the audience’s journey from ‘street to seat’ – on improved approach, entrance, intuitive internal wayfinding and the provision of enhanced audience facilities.
